What is the Traditional Japanese Pattern(日本文樣)?

"No nation like the Japanese, love to take names for all kinds of things." Different shapes will be named according to the reminiscent of things, let people feel the cultural and knowledge of the Japanese Traditional Pattern.

The birth of the Japanese Traditional Pattern can be traced back to the birth of the text. The most well known of these take a single design and create patterns by placing the design systematically on fabric. They're mostly used for kimono, packaging, and other goods and sundries, but not only are they ultra cute -- they also have proper significance!

何謂文樣？

「沒有一個民族像日本人一樣，那麼愛替各種東西取名字。」不同形狀會依據令人聯想到的事物來取名，讓人感受大和之心，並了解文樣的知識與趣味。

文樣的誕生可追溯至文字誕生以前，遠古的日本人在服裝、藝術品、漆製品、陶藝品、建築物等物體的表面描繪圖樣，如形狀、動植物、人面、風景等為基礎的象形文樣，及後將農業、戰爭、文化、宗教的景象，以圖樣的方式保留下來，而這種圖樣在日本，稱為「文樣」。
